Experience the Babies And Beyond Childcare Promise – a holistic child care and early education approach designed to inspire children to become lifelong learners.
At Babies And Beyond Childcare, our primary goal is to inspire and nurture your child’s innate potential. Regardless of whether your child is inclined to be a scientist, artist, educator, physician, business leader, or all these roles, our focus is on providing an environment that encourages them to explore their interests and passions!
Play-based activities form an integral part of your child’s skill development process. While it might seem like just fun and games to your child, it’s the inception of valuable learning that they will carry with them forever!
Our comprehensive program presents a myriad of stimulating learning opportunities within an enjoyable environment for growing school-age children. This includes before and after-school care, emergency care during school holidays and closures, and thrilling summer day camp initiatives for children up to the age of 12.
Parents with careers outside the home often struggle to secure supervised before and after-school care for their children. As a matter of fact, over 70 percent of U.S. children have parents who work off-site, resulting in 15 million young individuals left unattended when school concludes for the day.
Babies And Beyond’s School Age Program alleviates the pressures faced by busy families by offering a safe, engaging, and learning-rich environment for their children during out-of-school hours.
We offer:
There’s More!
With many school districts providing distance learning or a blend of in-person and home-based learning, Babies And Beyond is here to support both parents and students.
More than just homework facilitators… Babies And Beyond will provide both full-day and after-school programming for elementary school-aged children.
We are working in collaboration with various school districts we serve to aid families in adapting to this novel learning environment. Striving to maintain a sense of normalcy for our students, our teachers will assist children with their assigned classwork through distance learning, as well as present opportunities to engage in supplemental activities like music, art, and physical education.
Our Childcare Center
Our mission is to grant school-age families of diverse backgrounds access to a superior out-of-school experience that enhances their capacity to thrive as lifelong learners in an evolving world.

Fieldtrips
Our Center will be taking periodic field trips, routine field trips, and walking trips. All trips will be done with a CPR trained staff member. Before departing the center, all children will be wearing Identification tags (including child’s name, DOB, and Center’s information), a count will be taken of all children, and they will be marked on JFS 01232 form specifically created for the trip. Upon arrival at the destination, another count will be taken to assure that all the children have safely arrived. This process will be repeated upon leaving the destination and returning to the center. During field trips, each staff member will have specific children that they are responsible for supervising, along with a first aid kit and working cellphone. Before any child participates in either a routine or field trip, the center will obtain written permission from the parent or guardian, JFS 01226 form or JFS 01225 form. The form will indicate the mode of transportation (walking or Center’s bus), destination, date and time (routine trips expire within one year of parent/guardian signature and date).

Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center has devised several procedures to follow if an emergency would occur while a child is in the center’s care. In the event of a fire, or tornado, staff would follow the written instructions posted in each classroom, describing emergency evacuation routes, and the procedures to follow to assure that children have arrived at the designated spot. In order to prepare children for the unlikely need to evacuate, the center does conduct monthly fire drills, and practices tornado and lock down drills. The administrative staff facilitates these drills and records them. Should we need to evacuate due to fire or weather conditions, or the loss of power, heat, or water to the center, our emergency destination is Premier First Home Healthcare, 3033 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, OH 43204. Our secondary location is Wendy’s, 3055 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, OH 43204. A sign will be posted on the front door of the center indicating that we have evacuated and the location where you can pick up your child. Parents will be contacted as soon as possible to pick up your child. If a parent cannot be reached, we will contact the emergency contacts as listed on your child’s enrollment information. In the unlikely event there would be an environmental threat or a threat of violence, the staff will; secure the children in the safest location possible, contact and follow the directions given by the proper authorities and contact the parents as soon as the situation allows. An incident report would also be provided to the parents. Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center will ensure that center staff has access to a cell phone during all hours the program is in operation. The center shall always provide continuity of care and supervision to the children. No child will be left alone or unsupervised during the time they are at the center – children will be supervised at all times.
Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center happily encourages the participation of parents and family members in its program activities. We ask that parents make an appointment for the initial enrollment visit and for meetings of a serious nature. After the initial visit, parents are welcome to the center to take part in the program at their convenience. Any parent that has a problem or concern should contact the Director immediately to schedule a time to resolve the issue. Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center staff will be liberally available to parents for in-person or telephone meetings and will be responsive to the parents’ needs regarding schedules and family crisis.
Parents are encouraged to provide input on policy matters and should feel free to submit suggestions to the administrative staff for the enhancement of the center’s activities. When opportunities to take off-site field trips or conduct expanded on-site events should arise, please participate and/or chaperone. An unusual or unexpected incident occurs which jeopardizes the safety of a child or employee of a center, such as a child leaving the center unattended, a vehicle accident with or without injuries or exposure of children to a threatening person or situation.
If a serious incident should occur, i.e., Death of a child at the center. A child receives a bump or blow to the head that requires first aid or medical attention. An incident, injury, or illness requires a child to be removed by the parent or emergency services from the center for medical treatment, professional consultation or transportation for emergency treatment. Staff must thoroughly wash hands with soap and running water as soon as staff/child ratio allows or upon re-entry to the building. The use of hand sanitizer does not replace the requirement of washing hands with running water and liquid soap.
Cleaning schedules are posted in each classroom for daily and weekly cleaning. All cribs and cots/mats will be cleaned with appropriate germicidal agent before being used by another child and whenever visibly soiled.
Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center will have staff members who are trained in CPR, first aid, child abuse, and how to recognize communicable disease on the premises during all hours of operation. Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center reserves the right to use pictures and/or videos of children enrolled in center, past and present, for advertising and/or internal purposes unless otherwise noted in writing by parent.
Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center staff believes that helping the child to learn self-control is very important. Our hope is that each child will learn self-discipline through careful guidance. Your child will be treated with love and respect. If children are treated with respect, they in turn learn to respect the teachers and their friends. Our expectations will be kept within the child’s developmental capabilities and the child will be made aware of these expectations. Setting clear limits, showing positive alternatives, positive reinforcement (commenting on children doing the “right” thing) and positive redirection (removing the child and giving them an appropriate activity), modeling the desired behavior, and encouraging children to control their own behavior, cooperating with others and solving their problems by talking things out, will be used.
A child may be asked to sit for a short period of time to give him/her a chance to regain control if he/she is having a difficult time. Time outs will be age appropriate in length and conducted within the classroom (no more than one minute for each year of age of the child and shall not be used with infants). When the child returns to the activity, staff will review the reason for the time out and what behavior is expected. Staff will not impose punishments for failure to eat, sleep or toileting accidents. This guidance policy applies to all staff and parents while they are at the center.
If a situation arises where a child is consistently endangering himself, peers or staff, it may become necessary to dis-enroll the child. Every attempt will be made to work together with the parents and the child to correct the behavior. However, the safety of children is always our primary concern. The Director would be in communication with the parents prior to this occurring. If the child demonstrates behavior that requires frequent “extra attention” from the staff member, we may choose to develop and implement a behavior management plan. This plan would be developed in consultation with the parents and would be consistent with the requirements of OAC.
Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center considers safety and respect of all children, staff and parents very important. School-age children will be suspended for disrespectful behaviors, fighting, bullying, use of foul language, and not following classroom rules. Children are given 1-3 verbal warnings (based on the severity), then will be suspended 1-3 days (based on severity of incident). If a child is suspended from the center, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to make other childcare arrangements.
A child will be expelled after 3 separate suspensions, aggressive behavior that is putting other’s safety at risk, threats of violence towards the center and/or others. The director has the right to expel any child who proposes an unsafe environment for the Center.
Babies and Beyond Childcare Learning Center reserves the right to terminate a child’s enrollment if any of the following incidences occur:
Re-Enrollment after termination from the program is solely the discretion of the Director. Consideration will only be given if all fees are or made current toward childcare costs.
If you have a problem or concern, please direct it to the Director immediately. Together we can work to attempt to resolve the issue in a prompt and satisfactory manner.
